Pro Career:

• A seven-time Pro Bowl selection earning his latest honor in 2011.
• In 2008, was voted to the Pro Bowl along with teammate Robert Mathis as the two became the first defensive end duo in club history since 1958 (Gino Marchetti and Don Joyce) to both appear in the game. Freeney and Mathis became the first defensive end tandem since 1970 from the same team to be named to three consecutive Pro Bowls.
• Topped 100.0 career sacks in 2011 and currently ranks tied for 23rd in the NFL all-time with 102.5 sacks entering the 2012 campaign. His sack total is also tops in franchise history.
• Led the NFL in sacks with 16.0 in 2004, becoming the first member of the Colts franchise to accomplish the feat.
• Is the only Colts player with seven double-digit sack seasons, including four consecutive from 2002-2005 and has recorded seven of the 17 double-digit sack seasons in team annals.

2011 (COLTS):

• Started 15-of-16 contests and finished the season with 19 tackles (13 solo), 8.5 sacks and two forced fumbles.
• Was named to his seventh career Pro Bowl.
• Became the 26^th player in NFL history to top 100.0 career sacks, accomplishing the feat against Baltimore (12/11) in Week 14.
• Finished with two tackles (two solo), one sack and one forced fumble against Cleveland (9/18).
• Totaled four tackles (three solo), 2.0 sacks and one forced fumble against Pittsburgh (9/25). His fumble was recovered by Jamaal Anderson and returned 47 yards for a touchdown.
• Posted four tackles (two solo) and 1.5 sacks vs. Kanas City (10/9).
• Dropped Carolina (11/27) quarterback Cam Newton for a 20-yard loss to register sack number 5.5 of the season. Also added two tackles and two quarterback pressures.
• Compiled 2.0 sacks of Baltimore (12/11) quarterback Joe Flacco to become the 26^th player in NFL history to reach the 100-sack milestone for his career.
• In the season finale at Jacksonville (1/1), registered the team’s third sack of the game to finish with 8.5 quarterback takedowns for the season.

2010 (COLTS):

• Started 16 games and totaled 25 tackles (21 solo), 10.0 sacks, five forced fumbles, two passes defensed and 19 quarterback pressures.
• Earned his sixth career Pro Bowl honor, and along with teammate Robert Mathis, became the first defensive end tandem since 1970 from the same team to be named to three consecutive Pro Bowls.
• Was the recipient of the team’s Ed Block Courage Award.
• Named to the PFW/PFWA All-AFC Team.
• Earned AFC Defensive Player of the Week honors for his performance against the Houston Texans (11/1).
• Recorded his seventh career 10.0-plus sack season.
• Had two tackles and one sack at Houston (9/12).

• Finished with his sixth career 10.0-plus sack season while his total ranked tied for third in the NFL. His sack total ranked as the second-highest for a single-season in franchise history.

• Started in nine games before suffering a foot injury at San Diego (11/11) and being placed on Injured Reserve three days later.
• Totaled 34 tackles, 3.5 sacks, four forced fumbles and 19 quarterback pressures.
• Named AFC Defensive Player of the Week for his performance against Jacksonville (10/22).
• Had seven tackles (five solo), one sack and two forced fumbles vs. Denver (9/30).
• Recorded seven tackles (five solo), 2.0 sacks (including one for a safety) and two forced fumbles at Jacksonville (10/22). The contest marked his sixth-career multiple forced fumble game and the safety was the first for the team since 10/29/00 against Detroit (DT-Josh Williams). Was named AFC Defensive Player of the Week for his efforts.

2006 (COLTS):

• Started all 16 games and totaled 45 tackles (35 solo), 5.5 sacks, four forced fumbles, two passes defensed and 33 quarterback pressures.
• Was named AFC Defensive Player of the Week for his performance against Cincinnati (12/18).
• Registered 0.5 sacks at Denver (10/29) while posting quarterback takedowns against Buffalo (11/12) and at Dallas (11/19).
• Posted five solo tackles, 3.0 sacks and three forced fumbles against Cincinnati (12/18). The game marked his fifth career three-sack contest and second career game with three forced fumbles. Earned AFC Defensive Player of the Week honors for his efforts.
• Tallied three tackles, 2.0 sacks and one forced fumble against Kansas City (1/6) in the Wild Card Playoffs.
• Saw action at Baltimore (1/13) in the Divisional Playoffs.
• Finished with two tackles against New England (1/21) in the AFC Championship Game.

2005 (COLTS):

• Earned his first career Pro Bowl nomination. Became the first Colts defensive player since 1987 (Duane Bickett) to make the Pro Bowl and was club's first lineman tabbed since 1977 (Ernie Barnes/John Dutton).
• Was an Associated Press NFL All-Pro second-team choice, PFW/PFWA All-AFC team selection and Football Digest NFL All-Pro Team choice.
• Named AFC Defensive Player of the Week for his performance against Miami (11/2).
• Recorded his second consecutive double-digit sack season becoming the first Colts player with two straight 10.0-plus sack seasons.

• Started the final eight games of the year after starting the season as a reserve. Produced one of the finest seasons by an NFL defensive rookie by recording 47 tackles (43 solo), 13.0 sacks, nine forced fumbles, one fumble recovery and one pass defensed.
• Was twice named AFC Defensive Rookie of the Month (November and December) and AFC Defensive Rookie of the Week for his performance at Philadelphia (11/10).
• Named to the PFW/PFWA NFL All-Rookie Team.
• His 13.0 sacks marked a team record and was the second-highest total ever by an NFL rookie (14.5, DE-Jevon Kearse, Tennessee in 1999) while he led the team with nine forced fumbles and 36 quarterback pressures.
• Posted his first career sack at Houston (9/22).
• Finished with one sack each against Cincinnati (10/6) and Pittsburgh (10/21).
• Totaled five tackles and one sack against Tennessee (11/3).

• A two-year starter at Syracuse who started 22-of-39 career games and ranked second in school history with 34.0 sacks (Tim Green, 45.5).
• Totaled 104 career tackles (68 solo), 14 forced fumbles, three fumble recoveries, six passes defensed, 51 tackles for loss and 43 quarterback pressures.
• Holds the NCAA seasonal record for forced fumbles (11) and fumble recoveries (three) in 2001.
• Recorded a string of 17 consecutive games with at least one sack, which ended in 2001.
• Started every game as a senior and led the nation with 17.5 sacks. His total broke Green’s prior season mark of 15.0. Also contributed with 50 tackles (33 solo), eight forced fumbles (conference record), three fumble recoveries, 26 tackles for loss and 26 quarterback pressures.
• Was a consensus All-America and All-Big East Conference first-team choice and was named the Big East co-Defensive Player of the Year.
• Was finalist for the Lombardi (best lineman), Bednarik (top defensive player) and Nagurski (outstanding defensive player) Awards.
• Earned Big East Player of the Week honors on four occasions, matching a conference seasonal record.
• As a junior, had 32 stops (23 solo), 13.0 sacks, 18 tackles for loss, three forced fumbles and eight quarterback pressures.

• Attended Bloomfield (Conn.) High School and was a SuperPrep, Prep Football Report, USA Today, Hartford Courant and Blue Chip Illustrated All-America selection.
• Was an All-Central Connecticut West pick and served as a team captain.
• Was a four-sport letterman, including three letters in football, four in basketball and baseball and one in soccer.
• Participated in “Shop with a Colt” program, leading a group of underprivileged children on a shopping spree for sports equipment and apparel.
• Established his annual Dwight Freeney Full-Contact Football Camp in 2005 with proceeds benefiting various charities.
• Donates 200 tickets to underserved youth each Colts season as a part of the team’s Community Ticket Block program.
