  • As a senior, named first-team all-state with 93 tackles, 15.0 sacks, six forced fumbles, three fumble recoveries and three interceptions, while setting the Florida state record for sacks in a game (6.5).
  • Won state championships in the shot put and discus as both a junior and senior. Recorded the nation’s third-best toss in the shot put with a throw of 65-5 in 2005.
  • Worked at Habitat for Humanity throughout college, helping in a variety of areas.  
  • Assisted his family and fellow countrymen following the earthquake that left nearly one million people homeless in Haiti. He first worked to obtain donations, getting GMC to donate 50 brand new 2010 trucks.
